Wellbeing is a right, not a privilege.Â
At Proof Positive, this belief drives our work every day. We believe wellbeing is a fundamental human right to which every human should have access. Yet, too often, the autism and disability communities are left behind in the pursuit of happiness and human rights for all. We can, and we must, do better.Â
Today, on Human Rights Day, we join the global community in commemorating the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This document preserves the rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being. The United Nations’ theme for 2024, Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now, is a powerful call to action. It reminds us to prioritize human rights in our everyday lives and inspires action to continue the work to ensure they are available to all.Â
At Proof Positive, we answer this call with Mindful Urgency—one of our core values. We work purposefully and intentionally to improve wellbeing outcomes… now. The members of our Autism Wellbeing Alliance commit to creating a world where wellbeing wins for all. Our foundation provides free resources for the autism community to practice the skills of happiness. We work at the unique intersection of positive psychology and autism intervention. The Wellbeing Revolution begins today, and we’re ensuring no one is left behind.Â
To that end, we are excited to share our 2025 Strategic Roadmap, which outlines a clear path toward enhancing wellbeing in the autism community with Mindful Urgency. We are determined to make wellbeing a right for every individual.Â
